LabX was launched in the second half of 2006 with a mission to enhance the underdeveloped entrepreneurship culture in Turkey by incubating promising business ideas and launching new initiatives. Spun out of Helix Management Consultants, LabX has positioned itself as an entrepreneurship and investment consultancy company. LabX constantly facilitates its access to Ideas, Business Angels and Know-How – important success factors in the business. Already in a short time frame LabX has completed the groundwork for set up (branding, company IC / documents, web site, .etc), gathered an angel investor group of over 85 individuals with a potential investment pledge of around 3 M USD and opened its application channels to local and international entrepreneurs through different organizations and stakeholders.
LabX is also keen to extend its local and international presence and hence is open to various partnership opportunities with likewise international angel networks, associations or universities in the fields of know-how sharing and financing. In this regard recently LabX became a member of the international EBAN organization and formed alliances with prominent universities and NGOs of Turkey. In order to promote the entrepreneurship culture LabX also (together with a multi-stakeholder team and sponsor) recently launched Turkey’s largest university-wide entrepreneurship competition birFİKRİNmiVAR? (www.birfikrinmivar.com). LabX looks forward to develop many similar local and international alliances in order to better assist entrepreneurs.

Helix Management Consultants
Helix is one of the oldest and most established management consulting companies in Turkey. During the last two decades, Helix has taken on the unique mission of growing the management consulting market in Turkey and has utilized its expertise in the development of automated banking systems and “re-engineering” studies in Turkey and the establishment and positioning of Istanbul offices of Andersen Consulting (Accenture) and A.T. LabX Founder and General Manager Fuat Sami...
Fuat Sami, born in London, completed his primary education in Turkey and secondary education at Eton College, London. He earned his Bachelor in Science degree at Imperial College and Master's degree from Tanaka Business School, Imperial College.
Fuat Sami worked for Helix Management Consultants as a senior consultant and project manager for several years. He carried out projects in different geographical areas such as Europe, Middle East and Turkey and led business strategy, restructuring, organizational design and sales optimization projects for local and international companies. Mr. Sami also led several due-diligence projects for M&A and privatization of high-profile Turkish companies.
After many years of consulting experience, Fuat Sami founded LabX, an entrepreneurship and investment consultancy firm spun out of Helix Management Consultants in 2006, and currently holds the position of general manager. Mr. Sami serves on the boards of 7 different companies, ranging from telecommunications, internet, advertising to medical sectors and all of which have been financed by Turkey's first and only Business Angel Network. Mr. Sami is also a board member of GYIAD (Young Professionals and Businessmen Association), president of GYIAD's Project Development Commission, board member of TOBB (Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey) Young Entrepreneurs Commission and actively involved in Cercl'e d'Orient Foreign Affairs Committee.
